Come and be a part of this success.An exciting opportunity exists to join our BMA Saraji Engineering Team based in our Bowen Basin Operations. In this role as a Specialist Engineer, reporting to the Superintendent of Governance and Technical Stewardship (G&TS), will be part of exciting opportunities involving and assuring Asset Integrity of our critical equipment, governing the Operations Blueprint and Management of Change Process.
You will be Degree qualified Engineer, and will be called on to assess improvement initiatives at the operation or provide input into engineering initiatives. The diverse portfolio of Engineering’s accountabilities will allow you a role where you can be dynamic in its scope to allow you to develop your skills in our business.
Your other key responsibilities will also include:
- Provide engineering expertise to support the operation;
- Support the execution and governance of projects at the operation;
- Address issues arising asset integrity audits;
- Build relationships with other departments and employees to ensure any issues are addressed & resolved effectively in a timely manner; and
- Continually monitor compliance with design, drawings, and specifications.
You will be Degree qualified in Mechanical or Structural Engineering with a detailed understanding of Engineering Asset Integrity Management within the heavy industry. You will also come with experience in Contractor Management delivering positive results in safety, culture and productivity, couple with your project management exposure.
Due to the nature of this role your people and communication skills are of the upmost importance as well as your relationship skills when liaising, negotiating and influencing a range of internal and external stakeholders and technically competent as an Engineering professional.
